I composed this original soundtrack for a short film with a turnaround time of about two weeks, a difficult challenge I didn't see coming. Its the most amount of music I've ever composed for one project, so I was excited to get the chance to create several different themes and play with vastly different moods. I also experimented with using organic sounds and synthesizing them such as swarming bees, windchimes and rattlesnakes to punch up the background of a few of the cues. I drew a lot of inspiration from the original James Newton-Howard score for the films, especially the slower bits, while also borrowing from the three composers I emulate the most: John Williams, Brian Tyler and Hans Zimmer.
